We travel throughout the Willamette Valley; most areas between Portland and Eugene have no travel fee. Locations beyond this range may require a minimum of 3 horses to book, or a travel fee.

We plan to be in the Bend and Seattle areas at least once or twice each year for Deck the Stalls sessions!

Yes! This can be done in "real life" if your horses are friendly with each other, or I can also create a digital composite of your horses, where it looks like everyone is all together without the need for any squealing or flying legs!

Can you photograph my horses together?

In order to streamline the holiday session experience, we take care of all the image culling for you- I will select the best poses for editing and deliver your set amount of portraits, all ready completed and ready for download!

If you would like to receive a larger gallery with lots of options to choose from and a more involved planning experience from start to finish, I recommend exploring our Full Service Portrait Sessions!

Do I get to pick my photos?

Sure! We generally run through a few classic poses with every horse, slightly modified in a way that works best for each horse's conformation and personality, but if there's something unique you've seen and loved, we can absolutely include that. A popular example of this is the "straight on" shot. It's not standard in every gallery, but if it's your style, you'll have a chance to request that in your pre-session questionnaire.

Of course, we can never guarantee certain poses; our job is to work with the horse we have in the moment and some horses are more comfortable with certain poses than others. In any case, we've got all the options up our sleeve!

Mini Sessions cost $295, which includes 5 digital images. These are high resolution files with a personal print release! Photos are delivered via a private online gallery, which will also give you access to our print store where you can order any printed keepsakes you may want to take away from the experience.

Full Service Portrait Sessions are much more involved and highly customizable, with the end goal of creating artwork for your home. The average total investment for these sessions is between $1500-4500. These sessions are available year round (not just at the tulips) and you can learn more here.

We are incredibly lucky to have the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival located in Woodburn, just 30 minutes south of Portland, Oregon. This is where we meet for the session. If you haven't been before, I highly recommend visiting the above linked website to check it out!

Where is the tulip festival?

Yes, but we'll want to chat about this during the planning process as multiple dogs will need a little more time. Most multi-dog families choose to book two mini session slots ($590, includes 10 images) or schedule a Full Service Session so they can build a more customizable experience.

Can I bring multiple dogs to my Mini Session?

Yes! You will receive a link to you very own private online gallery which has all the images from your session; from there you can use the coupon code that you've received to choose the 5 included images you would like to download! You will also have the option to add on additional images, or printed products if you prefer.

Do I get to pick my photos?

No, we are very strict about maintaining on-leash safety while at the festival. This protects your dog's safety in a crowded environment, and also respects the property of the farm we are graciously allowed to walkthrough.

All posing is carefully crafted in a way that looks like your dog is within the tulips, without actually entering the rows and touching any of the flowers!

Can my dog run around in the tulips off leash?

I keep a close eye on weather leading up to all sessions, and intentionally do not release mini session dates until approximately 10 days before. This helps us minimize rescheduling. Sun, overcast, and a light sprinkle are all "good to go" weather for the spring for these sessions. If the rain is heavy, or if there is also wind or thunder, then we will reschedule a session.

What if it's super rainy, windy, stormy?

These session events are designed to be a fun, laid back experience. I always schedule extra time before each session begins to make sure your dog can get to know me and my camera. We are pet professionals and working with every personality of dog is right up our ally!

When you reach out to book your session, you'll get my Welcome Guide that has all the tips you'll need to make the most of our time together.

What if my dog doesn't behave?

Approved photographers who are allowed to bring horses to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival must book their "horse days" well in advance and they are very limited. This means, on the days that I can bring horses in, we want to make sure we are giving our equine friends the priority scheduling. Dogs are welcome any day that the festival is open, so those days are much easier to schedule!

Why can't I bring my horse to a mini session?
